His Bizarre way...

His Bizarre way...

My dad quit smoking ciggs a few months ago. I never thought it was such a big deal, but I was very proud of him. Recently though I’ve had various friends who are trying very hard to quit and they just cant do it. I didn’t seem to understand why but I researched some about it, and I guess its just as hard to quit as a heroin addiction. Only the withdrawals aren’t as major. And only 3% of the people trying to quit actually succeed!
I asked my dad how he did it, I never saw him using any patches or gum or anything like that so I was wondering how he became apart of that 3%. He told me that he stopped smoking ciggs that come in packages that he would make his own, they tasted worse so it made him dislike it. After that he moved on to only smoking prime times and he got himself so sick of primetimes that just the thought of one disgusts him. However he needed the nicotine so he continued smoking them and gradually stopped. Now he doesn’t even get a craving and when he does, he thinks of primetimes and how they disgusted him.

Primetimes are disgusting, he's right lol.  I think what made me quit was the fact that I could actually feel the affects on my body. I'd smoked 2-3 cigarettes on a weekend, and the next day I would feel my heart skipping beats, or I would get headaches.  So now, because of that I don't like it.  And my tolerance was so low that I could only smoke half of a cigarette anyway.  And they're expensive, it's so dumb!

My ex boyfriend started quitting by quitting ciggs and taking chewing tobacco instead. He hated the chewing tobacco, the taste the smell, the spitting, all of it. He did it for about two weeks till he just got utterly disgusted from them and just quit nicotine all together! Too bad he didn't quit till after we broke up =P I hated the smell on him!
