I'm asking for prayers for my brother.. Over the past year he's gotten really into church, loves God and has been growing as a Christian. He use to be a marijuana addict, but kicked his habit and I appreciate and respect him a lot because of that. I could finally start to look up to him as a role model and I admired him for all of the things he was doing in his life. Well his 21st birthday was a week ago and so he wanted to have a small party with all of his friends, and even old friends. His girlfriend bought all of the alcohol, and they had a good time. But now, a week later my brother is still smoking. He said he wanted to smoke for a week in occasion of his birthday, but I really hope he stops, like today! And I'm pissed at his girlfriend for encouraging it also. And now I'm beginning to feel like a square for tripping about it, but as a fellow Christian I'm not supposed to be cool with it.
Our thoughts create our reality.

I think you should sit your brother down and talk to him about how sometimes doing something that seems fun is wrong, when he smokes he is betraying God. Is it really worth it? There are so many other ways he could have fun rather than doing wrong things that disapoint God. Whether he is smoking jsut this once, or everyday, its still wrong. Is it worth disapointing God? There's so many other things he could do to celebrate and have fun, even more fun than just being high. Talk to him about it and maybe you could get through to him.
