Here’s something that I think is pretty ironic. Did you know that the name “heroin” is derived from “a hero”, its supposed effect was to save morphine addicts, it had a heroic affect. It was considered a wonder drug, “non-addictive” and the best cough suppressant. After a few years they found out that this is extremely addictive and they banned the drug and stopped manufacturing it, they took it off the shelves and everything. But now were using methadone to treat heroin addiction. Is that leading us anywhere? Or just down the same path all over again? Some people are ridding of their heroin addiction but so many are just substituting a heroin addiction with a methadone addiction.
