"You deserve whatever you decide to put up with". I like that quote  I heard it on the radio and its very true, if a person is suffering from a drug addiction and they're putting up with it then they deserve the suffering, they shouldn't put up with it and they should get through it and never have to depend on drugs again. If a person is in a bad relationship and cries over it so much and wondering why God is putting them through it, then they deserve it because they’re putting up with it. They could step out and find a healthy relationship. Everyone makes mistakes that set them in horrible situations but we shouldn’t put up with it, we should get through it, and God is our main guide to get past it.

This is a quote I like to live by: "To Have More, Become More."  I like it because you can apply it to almost any situation.  If you want to be have a happier relationship, then you might need to change things about yourself.  Or if you want a nicer car, then you need to become a better worker to get a raise, or become better with your spending and finances.  I think a lot of people just sit and wait for things to happen, or perfect opportunities to pop up.  But great people create their own opportunities, and are always learning from others and improving themselves.

Hi.  Just thought I might cut in and put in my two cents.  Something that I've learned to live by is in life, we will continue to make the same mistakes over and over, until we learn to overcome them, then they become lessons.  I always thought that mistakes were lessons learned, but it takes work.  Lessons learned can also be the result of a trial that God is putting us through.  And unless we overcome it and glorify him through it, we will continue to struggle with the same trial over and over and you end up missing out on many things.

Thats pretty true, you do deserve whatever you deal with. But there's somethings in life that happen to you that you dont deserve. Like maybe getting cheated on, its something that you can't control and can't help it happening to you. But I guess if you deal with the person after wards then you deserve whatever comes next. Hardhips in life come and go however and even at times where it seems like we will never get over it, time heals all and all will be fine in time.

I'm thinking of a quote, it's something like "Whatever doesn't kill us, can only make us stronger."  I think that's it, but it sort of ties in with this thread.  I've heard this many times throughout my life and it actually is true.  Overcoming something gives us courage, and makes us stronger in the end.

Whatever doesn't kill you doesn't necessarily make you stronger.  You could put yourself through something your whole life.. like an abusive relationship or an addiction.  It might not kill you, and you may have survived it and managed it but still. In the end, doing drugs and being abused make you a weaker person.

doing drugs and recovering makes you stronger. You have more power more strength and your accomplished. "Stronger" doesn't have to mean in strength physically but could be strength within. You learn and you become stronger. Ofcourse being abused could make you weaker in so many ways and I totally agree with this but it can also make you stronger in some ways as well.Like the first quote said you deserve what you put up with. If your being abused dont put up with it and that will make you stronger. Kick the person abusing you out of your life and stay away form it. It will be touch but you could do it and that will make you so much stronger.
