Acronyms have always been a big help to me.  And I always feel relieved when learning a new one.  This one is called 5 Finger Praying and it's to help you to remember to pray for everyone in your life.

Start with your Thumb:  It is the finger closest to you, therefore pray for all of your loved ones and closest friends, they should be the easiest to remember.

Pointer finger:  This finger is for all of your leaders, guiding you.  It can be your doctor, teacher, employer, pastor, anyone involved in helping others.  They often need a lot of prayer to have the wisdom to help others.

Middle finger:  This is the tallest finger, and the strongest, therefore with the most power.  So remember to pray for the people leading the government and our nation, and those governing your city.

Ring finger:  Surprisingly, this is the weakest finger.   There are many, many weak people in the world, with nothing to help them or guide them through their troubles.  And for the souls of our lost friends and loved ones. They really need the most prayer.

Pinky finger:  This is the finger representing you.  After praying for all of these things in relation to others, it will be easy to put things into perspective of yourself when praying.

Hi I'm new to this forum, and I've been reading through the Christian threads particularly and they've helped me out a lot.  It seems like my faith is growing everyday, since I got baptized over a year ago.  Thank you for sharing the 5 finger praying, I'm sure it will help guide my prayers.

thats a good way to pray. I usually thank God for everything first and I name off the things I'm most thankful for. Then I pray for my loved ones and my self and people who I know need help.

I really like this. I have never heard it before, but I'm going to start using it. I just know of the things like FROG, PUSH, and WWJD type of thing.
