In high school people throwing parties while their parents were out of town was a normal things. But here’s a story I just read of how things can go so terribly wrong. The teenager Justin Kirk broke into his grandparents house while they were out of town and threw a party. Minors were provided with alcohol and kirk would drive back and forth picking up passengers in his grandparents cadillac. During one trip just before 2 a.m. he rammed a neighbors parked car. No one got hurt but the car was totalled. Noise from the impact got the neighbors to call the police. The police came and 6 people got into a nissan maxima driven by michael lewis, 28. He was drunk and on ecstacy, he sped off and was driving at about 90 mph. his drivers license was suspended and his lengthy criminal record includes a police chase in 2006. He wouldn’t slow down even after he lost the cruiser and the passengers were teling him to. He missed a bend in the road and slammed head on into an oncoming car. He killed two of his passengers and injured the rest plus the driver in the other car. Ofcourse he’s getting charged for manslaughter but the teen who hosted the party is also getting charged for the crash and deaths, breakin in the house, underage drinking party, and wrecking a relatives car.

This is so unfortunate, and it could really happen to anyone.  Partying is fun and everything, but there are so many things that could go wrong just in one night.  You have to be really smart about who you surround yourself with, and the things you get involved with.  I can't believe those kids got into a car with the driver on Ecstasy, that's just asking to crash!  Hopefully this will be a lesson to everyone involved, and those affected by this incident.

On my formal night I didn't think much of my driver being intoxicated. I never thought anythig would happen to me and when someone was warning the driver to not drive since he was drunk his reply was "I drive better drunk than when I do sober" I didn't even think anything of it. then he took 2 pills of ecstacy too and I still wasn't worried at all. luckily nothing happened but I could've died that night, that was such a dangerous position to be in.
