I've recently started working out, and eating A LOT healthier.  So far I'm still truckin, and I've lost a few pounds, yay!  Also I'd like to make sure I'm getting all of my necessary vitamins and such.  Does anyone know anything about wheatgrass or monavie (acai juice)?  I've heard great things about both, and considering how each are pretty expensive, I'd like to know which one would benefit me most.  Thank you for your comments!

Well theres a way you can use and benefit from both in your life and cheaper too. You can buy acai juice from costco for about $18 for a 32 oz bottle. And its just as good as monavie. You dont need to go to a juice place to get wheatgrass either. Just buy a juicer and grow your own. They're both unbelievably good for your health. monavie cured cancer cells in a test tube it made them just self destruct, theres more study to see if it could eliminate all of them in your body but I'm sure you'd benefit either way. I researched this for you and I'm thinking of starting to do drink both of those everyday. I love keeping my body healthy and I feel great when I do.

I started drinking monavie after a friend gave me a bottle as a gift.  Mostly because I have problems with my joints, even though I'm only twenty years old!  But I'm pretty sure it's because I've been popping my fingers for years.  It's a habit that I'm trying to quit, but I get these pains in my fingers and it sucks cos it makes me wanna pop them!  But actually the monavie has helped a lot.  I no longer get the pains and I've lost a few pounds also.

Really does mona vie really help your joints? I'm young also but I get a lot of pain in my knees and I feel so old saying that. But everytime i have to bend down and get up they just hurt a lot. I think its because my knees pop a lot too, but its not good. If my knees are like this when I'm only 19 how are they going to be when I'm 60!

I use to work at jamba juice a few years back and yeah, the wheatgrass is grown in the store and then squeezed to make the juice.  There were customers who would come in every week to drink it, and even though it tastes pretty gross, I believe it's worth it.  A friends of mine, her aunt drinks it and it clears up her skin and makes it look real healthy.  And a few people have said that it helps them lose weight.  It's so healthy, that when I sampled it during training, it gave me a stomach ache because I was so used to eating potato chips and pizza all day.  But there is enough vitamins in one shot of wheatgrass, to equal a weeks worth of needed vitamins.

you got me really interested with this wheatgrass stuff. I tried it once at jamba juice and it tasted disgusting but I felt so energized and amazing! I was looking online you can buy a growing kit for like $40. I think I want to start growing it and just taking a shot of wheat grass every morning.

Glucosamine helps repair cartilage which can help your joints. Shrimp shells, lobster shells, crab shells, most sports drinks and sweet almond oil have it.
Manganese helps speed up the process of building cartilage. Beans, whole grain breads, whole grain cereals, milk, seafood, dark leafy vegetables, nuts have manganese.
Omega 3 fatty acids help with pain, swelling and inflamation which stops the pain your joints make. Salmon, Cod, Cod liver oil, flax seeds, walnuts, egg yolk, trout, and sardines have that. Its important to also eat these because your body does not produce omega 3 fatty acids.
Vitamins C & E are found together in foods and also work together in your system. They are antioxidants, it slows down the aging process, prolong your life, and form collagen. Collagen is whats found in your bones, tendons and cartilage. All citrus fruits, tomatoes, strawberries, cabbage. Kiwi, potatoes, watermelon, broccoli, cantaloupe, papayas, corn, nuts and oats
