The Brady Bunch star, Maureen McCormick who played Marsha, recently released her story regarding drug addiction. Unknowingly for some time, the character Marsha affected many people's lives. But inside, Maureen was depressed and hurting, self-medicating herself with drugs. Luckily, she was able to find herself and overcome. She said something that stuck with me, she said that she realized that only a few people are the actual people that they portray to the world. I thought this was really true, especially when younger people have such high expectations from their peers and their parents especially.
Our thoughts create our reality.

That's good that she decided to come clean about her drug abuse.
Sometimes it gives us peace to know that people who are portrayed as
perfect, also make mistakes and screw up in life. Hollywood is
notorious for building people up and up, and we're only human we can't
always be perfect. But drugs and alcohol definitely aren't the way to
cope.

I read about this also. I guess she would trade sex for drugs, she even slept with costar sibling greg brady. But she got sober after going to a rehab facility in 1985. She went through a depression after that though but now is doing great. I think its really good that she wrote this book though. And I think its amazing that she recovered and is content with her past and is able to talk about it freely.
