British comedian, Russell Brand was addicted to heroin for eleven years before he finally decided to quit. He was so addicted to the drug, at times he was warned that if he didn't stop taking it, he'd end up in jail. The first time he took heroin, he kept taking it every day for eleven years. He's completely turned his life around and that's great. He is now becoming popular in the US after his role in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and he even hosted the VMA's. I think it's so good that he's being open about his addiction, because it's showing others that there is life after addiction and you can still be successful and funny.
Our thoughts create our reality.

Wow thats really great. Not only that he can give hope to so many addicts out there. Usually when people are addicted they feel like they're too deep in and theres barely any hope for a normal life again. This guy is real life proof that thats not the case. Anyone can turn their lives around all it takes is the willingness to just go through with it and not give up no matter how hard it gets.
