An ex-convict/ drug addict is convicted once again. He has a drug problem and has been going to church meetings for help with his addiction; however that wasn’t why he attended these meetings. He went to scope out churches and figure out what he could steal. He is 42, homeless and has a lengthy history of drug arrests. He staged 12 church break-ins. He would steal cash from the poor box, jewelry, canned food, chairs, a heater, a guitar and rosary beads. But on his 13th break-in police caught him using a screwdriver to break a basement window at a church. When interviewed by the detectives he admitted breaking into the churches and he did all this to fuel his addiction. It’s one thing to steal, but it’s so much worse to steal from Gods house!

Wow that's terrible, I can't believe he can do this over and over again.  It's not easy for churches to get started, it's not like they have tons of money coming in, it's all donations!  I hope this guy can straighten his life out and get his addiction under control.

Thats seriously so bad though. I get scared to cuss in a church I cant imagine actually stealing from one. Hoe does he not feel guilty? And the church loses all that stuff too. It's not like they make a whole bunch of money! Maybe thats why his life was so terrible because he was stealing from church!!!!
