A 33-year old woman was arrested and charged with doctor-shopping. Officials received an anonymous call earlier this month informing them to look at Melissa L. Barclay for doctor- shopping. An agent learned that she received 420 pills from four different doctors from July 10th till July 29th. And from august 14 till august 27 she got an additional, 195 alprazolam and tramadol and 15 hydrocodone from three separate doctors. From September 14 through September 17th she obtained another 40 hydrocodone, 120 tramadol, and 30 setraline from three different doctors. Once taken into custody she admitted she was addicted to medication and she has been getting pills from three separate doctors.
After reading this story I realized there must be a lot of addicts who doctor shop. I never thought about that. I thought they would just get it from one doctor and once they finish buy them off the streets. But she got a ridiculous amount of pills!

Wow that is soooo much pills! Cant the doctors see your whole medical background? aren't they supposed to see that before checking you out?
