I'm sure most of us can remember a number of days that we can describe as our best days of sobriety.  My best day was sometime last June after receiving straight A's in college, something  I could've never done while smoking weed and drinking.  Since I quit doing drugs and drinking, after I finally felt sober, every day has been an adventure for me.  Now I'm in control of my own happiness.
This is a key point in recovery for a lot of people.  They feel more upbeat, more positive, and most like themselves, something they haven't felt for a while.  It could be a point where you have less self conscious thoughts, you feel more confident, alert, and funny.  <This point is where a lot of people choose to relapse.
They feel like they can still remain this way even after only one or two binges.. but don't do it!! Soon you'll be back to square one and have to start all over. When you could've been moving along with you recovery, accomplishing new goals, now you're having to back track.  So instead of running off and celebrating how you're feeling, remember how hard it was to get to that point of peacefulness.  You have to fight for your sobriety, sometimes even with yourself.

My best days of sobriety was when I started getting close with my family again. When I was smoking weed and drinking I used to stay away from them as much as possible. I was never home and when I was I would isolate myself. I never realized how much I missed them until I became sober. No high is worth losing that feeling.

While using, you don't realize how your important relationships suffer the most.  But it's your parents and family members who feel the pain of not being close to you.  And when using, you don't feel the pain, you feel numb and it's selfish to live like this.  It takes time being sober to realize how you miss your family and being close with them.

When your sober you know when your having fun, and your doing it in a healthy way. Your naturally happy, drugs aren't making you like this your making yourself. You realise that all that time lost by spending it high and drunk was useless and no feeling is better than being sober. Your worst day sober is better than your best day under the influence.

When your sober you dont look back and regret as many things as you do when you were intoxicated the day before. I regret so many things I've done and said while I was intoxicated. I feel like a smarter, wiser, and just overall better person sober. No drug or high is worth losing that feeling.

You're absolutely right about being sober, any day sober is much better than a day wasted being messed up.  I think everyday is better than the last, that's the way I see it.  I'm growing everyday.  And everyday is the best day ever!

When your sober you can actually feel whats going on in your life. The happy times the funny times and the sad times. But after spending so long addicted i've realied theres no point to dwell over the sad times, those will all pass and there will be so much great times ahead. And there's no way you could ever enjoy them if your not sober. My best days of sobriety is everyday because I can be aware of whats going on and feel everything!
