That isn't a very good successful rate. I wonder why it is so low. Is it low compared to other addictions that people try and quit? A lot of people smoke too, so that must be good for the tobacco companies. I know from people in my family-the ones who smoke- that when they try and quit they really don't want to. It doesn't even last a day of them trying. I think for it to work you're really going to have to try and quit and use aides to assist you in trying.

wow that means out of the 47 million smokers in the United states, only 1.4 million actually quit!!! thats sad. Lol I guess that makes my dad a hero since he was one of the 1.4 million =P

I believe this. Most the people I know who tried to quit always went back to smoking. Its sad how hooked this little white stick has them.

Thats pretty sad. A cigg really is a death stick! Many smokers just dont see the point of quitting though and they think that its not worth the work it takes to quit.

Hmm. I thought California would be pretty high, it seems like a lot of people smoke around here!

I thought texas would be high on there too! If I were to guess I would've guess California, Texas, and New York as the highest.
