I have always been an over eater. I can remember as a todler when I was stressed out my mother feeding me to keep me quiet. This has been all my life. I understand it but I find it hard to control. If I used smoking or alcahole or anything like that I probebly stop it by never useing it again. "One drink is too much and never enough" so recovering alcaholics don't drink or they go right back. But who can live with out food.
My biggest problem is when I make a large plate of food to eat and get reminded that is too much it pushes my buttons and I want to shut the person off. It gets frustrating.
The signs, with me, that I have started to slip back into stupe thinking is when I take other people's inventory.
I have many stress factors. Some are in my control but others are out of my control. The latter I let go of the former I self defeet on.

Why dont you try eating healthy. And when you make food leave half of it for left overs. You dont need to eat it all. Also exercise I think when you start feeling happier with your body, you'll see that its worth the pain to stay away from over eating and its healthier. You'll feel better about your self and you could curb your addiction.
