Breaking the Cycle
Breaking the Cycle

The most important thing when dealing with addicted parents is to break the cycle of addiction and poor parenting. A lot of children are raised by their grandparents because of ill-equipped, drug addict parents. But it doesn't have to stay that way. Sometimes generations follow this pattern, which isn't right. I know it's hard, but it's up to the kids to determine whether they're going to make the same choices their parents did.

I think its important for the kids to learn from their parents mistakes and not make them. Since their parents weren't the greatest parents in the world why should they be the same and give their kids the childhood they hated?
