I was reading an article and it talks about John McCain’s wife. I guess she had a prescription drug addiction that lasted a few years. It was hidden from the press and is said to have also been hidden from John. But many people don’t think so and that he was the first to know about it, but they came up with this story to protect his political status. She overdosed twice and both times John rushed to the hospital got her released and took her to their cabin. She admitted herself into a treatment center later on. They’re not open about this problem at all but no one even knows if she’s sobered up. This story happened years ago though, so that’s why no one knows whether she is still addicted or not.

 

I dont think his wives addiction should get in the way of his election. Its  not him with the addiction its her, and he's sticking by her side and probably helping her out. I'm sure he doesn't want this but its a tough addiction and who knows maybe shes over it now. It shouldn't give him a bad name. Although I'm an Obama supporter!!

Bebe get your facts straight. I'm not really sure where you are getting your news from, but yes Cindy McCain was addicted to prescription drugs after rupturing 2 disks and having back surgery. At the time she was very secretive about her addiction, most people are! Especially people who will wind up being another media story. Currently, she is very open about her addiction and recovery and is trying to do whatever it takes to help people not end up like her. This is just a bunch of rubbish because the election is in a couple months and people are trying to do whatever it takes for the McCain's to look bad. For you liberals, what about the Clinton's? It's the same type of tabloid to make them look bad. No one is perfect and she is doing what it takes to help people, not hide and lie about it.

I think if she talks to the public about it its better. She could reach out to so many people and help them., Especially if she becomes the first lady!

So many people are trying to use her addiction against McCain's campaign. I'm glad its not really getting anywhere. Personally I'm an Obama voter but I still dont think its right to use his wives former addiction to stop him from winning the campaign. Infact I think she could relate to many addicts and help them go through and become sober.
