Talk about trying to quit in a harsh environment!  Apparently, China accounts for a third of all the smokers in the world.  The concept of non-smoking areas is foreign to most businesses here.  Stand in a crowd of people, and the smokers will exhale right in your face.  It's not surprising that China has more than 350 million smokers, when you can get a custom pack for 50 cents.  I can't imagine quitting nicotine in an environment like that!

This is the environment my step brother was raised in.  His entire family smoked, and he was just always around it, always raised in it.  And smoking in our family is foreign, no one smokes and we all try to stay away from smokers on the street.  Nicotine smoke is so bad for you and to smoke around other people is endangering their lives also. But you can always tell that someone smokes, just by walking into their house.  They're really living in a toxic environment.  Thankfully my step brother didn't end up a smoker!

When you walk into a smokers house you also come out of it smelling like a smoker. I had a friend whos mom smokes soooo much. She would sit and smoke cigg after cigg after cigg. And when you walk into their house you get a wiff of a clean smelling house mixed with smoke. Its sad though because their house is really beautiful, its a mansion yet smells so much like smoke. Whenever I'd leave their house I'd smell of smoke, and once i came home and hugged my mother hello, she then started yelling because she smelt the ciggarete smell and thought that I was smoking. Its not good at all being around that enviorment. My friend is also a smoker now, and her parents have no way of finding out because since they're surrounded by the smell they can never smell ciggs on her, and cigg packets are all over the house so they cant say its hers either.
