I just read a very interesting story and wanted to share it with all
you couples: dating, engaged, newly weds or even married for years... A
newly wed couple from Boston decided together to not turn the TV on in
the house for their whole first year of marriage. The wife wrote a blog
about it saying how the first couple of months was rough and how for so
long we make our daily routines focused around what TV show is going to
be on that night, like saying oh it's Thursday I must be at 9 to watch
Grey's Anatomy. It's kind of silly when you think about it. She even
once caught him watching their TV during baseball season and kind of
laughed about it. They weren't even that absorbed in their TV and he
was already relapsing. The woman said though that they have spent so
much quality time together, walking their dog, actually talking to each
other and having no distractions. I think it really is a good idea and
I know for me sometimes I put the TV on to avoid conversations and
seclude myself in my own world when I should be spending quality time
together with my family. What do you guys think?

I can imagine my whole family going through withdrawals if they were to stop watching TV. I could imagine my self with them and I dont even watch that much TV. But I think its really amazing that they stayed away from it for a year. And now even when they go back to watching TV I'm sure they wont watch that much either.
