Anybody travel in recovery?

Anybody travel in recovery?

Ever since i was young I've always wanted to see the world. My
addiction kept me from rarely seeing anywhere outside of southeast PA,
let alone the outside of my house so when I got clean I decided to
change that. In the past 5 and a half years I've moved out west and
have seen about 20 states (and have made meetings in all of them) and I
am getting ready for a solo 6 week European backpacking trip. Preparing
for this trip encouraged me to look on the internet for a forum of some
sort catering to those who like to travel and experience recovery
everywhere they go. My searches led me nowhere so I started 12steptraveler.com.  I'm not selling anything, but rather giving people a
place where they can share their experience, strength and hopes about
seeing the world clean/sober. I encourage anyone who shares my
interests to check it out and share some hope for those who think that
the world is just too big and scary to experience clean.

Congrats with your recovery and good luck with everything you are trying to do. I think your ideas are wonderful and a way to help people stay sober, but live life!

I think this is a very good idea and it could help get people stay sober. Your not only letting them experience an experience of a lifetime but also showing them that there are other much much better things to do and while your sober also.
