Jared Leto has just completely given up on alcohol. I read this article:

Actor-turned-musician JARED LETO is giving up alcohol completely, in a bid to prove he's a responsible rocker.

The 30 Seconds to Mars singer is about to head off on tour with his band and insists he's more interested in putting on a good show than exploring the hedonistic side of rock and roll.

He says, "We're not irresponsible, overgrown adolescents out on the road to have an excuse to get f**ked up all day.

"We're not out to prove to the world how rebellious we are. This is something different for us."

You could never know for sure bout all of these. Many of them could say they dont drink but actually drink quite a lot. You just can never tell for sure. Their image is one thing on TV and on magazines but when theres no paparazzi around they could be completely different.

I remember at a recent concer that Fergie was peroforming at, she had an accident on stage related to drinking alcohol.  But I've heard a lot of celebrities openly admit that they don't drink.  And you're right, they could be completely lying about their sobriety but I'd like to think that they're telling the truth, unless there's pictures that surface of them consuming alcohol.  A lot of regular people choose not to drink, what makes celebrities different in that aspect?

Some celebrities may not drink just like some people may not drink and its not much different. But I do think that a lot of the celebrities that flaunt it could be lying and may actually be drinkers. They could be doing it to make themselves look better. But I dont think celebrities are role models and I dont think anyone should stay sober just because a celebrity did. They should do it for themselves and because its the right and the best thing to do.
