The thing that kept me going was keeping it in the day. Don't think of it that you cant drink forever. Say to yourself on a daily basis I'm not going to drink today and you'll be surprised.

That's actually really good advice.  Sometimes setting weekly goals is too much.  Using this method, you can feel accomplished everyday.

I do this too. I dont plan on ever drinking again but I dont think of it like that. I just think of it as I'm not going to drink for now. and my "for now" will last forever.

This could help at the moment too. I'm a former marijuana addict and im still always surrounded by it. Whenever my friends smoke it though I know I want some but I just keep telling my self I'll smoke it a little bit later. But later goes on forever and I never do.

That's so cool that you're able to do that.  And you can use it with anything too, like I try a similar method with staying away from food.  I'll get a craving like Oo a big huge juicy big mac sounds so good right now! Or Oo I really want Gucci sunglases! It could work for money too :p But that's good advice for anyone, it teaches you how to set limits and helps with cravings!

This is really good advice. I'm craving a frapaccino right now so bad! I've been drinking 3 a day for about a month now (soo not good).. but I guess I'll just have one "later" ;-]
