A charade for two Glendale men which lasted for 18 months and caused more than $300,000 in losses to 10 pharmacies and a dozen doctors offices throughout the valley. But they were actually really skilled. One man portrayed himself as terminally ill with cancer while the other posed as his caretaker. One doctor suspected suspicious activity in February and police started investigating.
Police executed a search warrant at their residence and when one of the men walked through the door he was sucking on a lollipop form of fentanyl, a painkiller for severe cancer patients.  Police also seized a 2006 BMW with drugs in it as well as drugs at their house. There was also fraudulent paperwork there. 11 doctors relied on what turned out to be a phony diagnosis to give him narcotics, dangerous and prescription only medications. They also used this fake diagnosis to 2 insurance companies. They got $144,000 from one and $107,000 from the other.
I cant believe anyone would go through that much lengths just to get drugs! And they made like a living off this. They got over $250,000 from insurance companies!!!! This is crazy!

This is really messed up though. Not only for the fact that theyre guilty of so much fraud. But a fake diagnosis for cancer??? Cancer shouldn't be something you play around with and take advantage of. Its a horrible disease and anyone who has seen a person live with this or die from this would know this. And Its so messed up of these boys to act like they had it. I'm not even a cancer patient and I'm outraged, imagine a person who is a cancer patient...
