Scotland is trying a new strategy for getting people to quit smoking. They are offering 12.5 pounds a week or 150 pounds for 3 months if they can quit smoking. The money will be put on to something like a credit card where they can use it at groceries stores to buy anything except alcohol and of course cigarettes. Participants will be tested frequently with carbon monoxide breath tests to prove they aren't smoking. I think this is a good idea. They are really trying to do something to make their country smoke free.

Hey that is pretty cool.. if I lived in Scotland  would soo take advantage of that and pretend to be a smoker to get some extra cash :D Lol but that's really cool, it seems like the whole world is trying to become smoke free !

I think it's a good incentive to try and help people quit smoking. It would be better for any family to have a member quit and it would save a lot of money. Hopefully though if people decide to try this they will continue in their recovery even after the free grocery money is given.

I think our country should do this! I really think there should be less smokers.
