I've heard a lot about people using hypnotism to cure their addictions, gambling in particular. Has anyone tried this, or does anyone know someone who's tried this? I'm actually really curious about this lol. There was this guy on the news and after only three sessions he knew that he would never bet again. Do you think that's possible?

I've never tried hypnotism, but in my recovery I've meditated many times. They're really similar, but basically you just clear your mind out of everything, no thoughts, just calm deep breaths and you leave your mind to filter itself. It leads to you feeling really peaceful like you can handle anything. I can see if helping out others with addiction because it better prepares you so that you don't relapse and it can leave you rested so you can work on your strengths.
