Anxiety and Eating Disorders

Adolescents who have anxiety are twenty times more likely to have an eating disorder that lasts more than one year. Individuals with eating disorders are considered anxious in most cases. This means that disordered eating does not occur seperately, but as part of a more extensive ill-being. When I'm feeling anxious or nervous at some point, I find it hard to eat healthy. Especially when I'm feeling angry and bothered, I can completely lose my appetite and fall into a depression really early.

I find myself very anxious and stressed at some points during the day, and I can't help but lose my appetite. It's hard to keep a good composure with all of the things that we can stress about with the economy and money especially. But feeling in control through food isn't actually giving us control, it's only an illusion and it only hurts us. There are better ways of dealing with anxiety/stress.
