The best hope for your journey through recovery...
June is the last month that it will be okay to smoke (or use any tobacco products) at any Florida Hospital and Orlando Health Facilities. This also bans smoking inside vehicles parked in the hospital parking lots. All of the 30,000 employees have been offered free smoking-cessation programs in helping them prepare for the change. I always thought it was weird to see so many nurses/doctors smoking at hospitals. It’s like you out of everyone know how bad it is for your health, but I think it’s because they are under so much stress in the workplace. I think that with this change more hospitals will follow in their footsteps, but I think that if an employee really wants to smoke they will find a way to do so. Maybe it will help though with visitors and such.
I just read that Pennsylvania passed a law banning smoking in public places. I think this is good. I don't smoke and it's gross when you're outside and someone lights up. It kind of ruins the experience. They are still allowing it in casinos and bars, but one doctor thinks that one day that too will be illegal and more states will soon follow the smoke free states. There seems to be a lot in the news these days about smoking. It seems like so many Americans smoke, I feel for them. It must be hard to quit.
This is kind of on the same topic. in chicago they banned smoking in the theater. The cast of jersey boys cant smoke in the play even though that was the norm for that time period. I think this can be seen as good and bad. For the cast or director I bet it’s irritating because they want it to seem like the 50s or 60s, but the audience doesn’t want second hand smoke or how they are saying actors glamorize smoking..what do you guys think? Which side do you agree more with?
