well i don't really know how these things go. does this really help you? i cant stop shopping and i spend a lot of money all of the time (actually most of the money i saved for school :( ) i used to hardly spend any money but this past year i have been spending so much on really expensive things like a purse that i paid over $400 for but it was like half off so it was a good buy but i know that it isn't a good buy unless you can afford it. i would have never done that before. i also spent like $2500 in one sitting at the computer! i don't know what is happening to me. i have been planning a wedding for like a year now and that is really stressful but that is no excuse. i don't want to tell friends and family because i think that they would be angry with me. what do i do? how do i get better?

I think it'd be good for you to get help as soon as you can.  Considering you're getting married, your future husband is going to figure out about your spending habits.  In a marriage, it's important to rely on each other for support, and also so that you can have trust in each other.  You shouldn't feel embarrassed about your overspending either.  If you come to your family looking for understanding and help, they probably won't be as angry with you.

I think you should ask your family for support. You'll never be able to stop on your own. Thats almost impossible. I think you should try your hardest to stop this. Dont go shopping unless someone who knows about your addiction is with you. Try real hard to not go. Also I think talking to a psychologist will help a lot too.
