When I started attending church, I thought everyone was so weird. I was a back-slidden Christian and although I had accepted God in the past, I had derived so far that I was just a punk teenager. I sat in church and refused to listen and I just thought everyone was so weird and I decided I didn't like anyone there. I only went because my dad made me and he and my mom even joined the church. And now, looking back, I'm so glad that he made that decision to keep our family in church. Eventually I gave God permission to work in my heart and I started listening to the messages. More people would come up and talk to me, even though they knew I didn't like them.. and what struck me the most is that they didn't judge me and they accepted me any way. If they hadn't been that way, I probably would've had a completely different view on church and I wouln't have been spiritual. The point of this is that I was waiting for these kids in church to mess up so that I could call them hypocrits, but they didn't and I learned to get along with them and enjoy church.

I can totally relate to how you felt when you first started attending church. I had the stigma that Christians were hypocrits and that they were all sinners. But just because they believe in God, it still doesn't make them perfect. I'm glad you found a good church to attend :)
