Salty Foods!

For all you Denny breakfast lovers, did you know that their ham slices have 1,700 mg sodium! Yikes! The salties soup is from Baja Fresh. Their Tortilla Soup has 2,760 mg of sodium. That is more than your daily serving of salt in that one meal. Like Chinese food? Rethink this before you order at P.F. Changs. Their beef with brocolli has 3,752 mg of sodium and 1,120 calories!!! I don't even really think about the amount of salt I eat every day, but maybe it's a good idea that I do. Even in foods that sound healthy, there can be a lot.

It's probably not very often that you eat those foods though. There's a lot of other health risks if you decide to eat McDonalds everyday. But once in a while is okay. I remember my nutrition teacher told us that the only healthy amount of fast food would be about once a month or not at all. I know some people who eat fast food every single day! That's unhealthy right there, the more often you're eating out, you're most likely shortening your life with every bite.

Wow. I think all fast food has way more salt in it than we think. Even some Quizno's and Subway sandwiches aren't healthy for you.

I just read something about Funions. They said that a bag of them is about 500 calories and there is about 270mg of sodium per one oz serving! Did you know that you have to burn 3500 calories to lose a pound? Plus if you are only supposed to eat 2000 a day you should make that meals and healthier foods.

LOl that's why I just don't eat fast food, I gave it up about a month ago. I've gotten slimmer and I feel way healthier. I used to be up to 1-2 fast food meals a day. It's weird how your body gets so used to it. Like if I have a bag of potato chips, my stomach hurts because it's not used to digesting all of that starch/fat.
