A mother of a five year old is arrested for cocaine possession unlawful marijuana possession and child endangerment after her 5 year old son pulled out a 7.6 gram back of marijuana out of his pocket to show his classmates and teacher. The teacher alerted school officials who searched the boy and found 2 grams of crack rock cocaine in his pockets also. As the search was going on the boy’s mother called to pick him up.
The boy got the drugs from his mothers drawers but didn’t know they were drugs. He of course wasn’t disciplined for bringing the drugs to school. The mother was arrested at her home and officials are now looking for her brother since they found a 1.4 gram bag of marijuana in his room. Police say their home was a known drug house in East Nashville.
There were 4 kids living in that house from 8 months old to 7 years old. How can a parent have that much drugs lying around when they are surrounded by children? The least they could’ve done was hide it somewhere proper where it’s not in the kids reach.

That's really sad, but at least they're still not going to be around drugs, this might create some good changes for them.  I heard a story on the radio a few days ago, a kid brought weed to school for show and tell.  The same thing happend and the police went to their house to search for more drugs and there were marijuana plants in their backyard.  I can't remember how old this kid was, but he couldn't have been that old.  It's sad that these parents can't get help when they have innocent kids to take care of. 

It's hard to completely turn into a responsible parent when you've been relying on drugs your entire life.  Hopefully these moms can get a wake up call after being exposed.

If they're relying on drugs and not able to get off of it then they shouldn't be endagering their kids like that. They could've put their kid out for adoption and that would've been a lot better for the child, they could've asked to visit whenever they wanted. But having that many kids all in one house hold with 2 drug dealers and drugs in hands reach is definately not a place where a child should grow up.

This is completely ridiculous to leave dangerous drugs within the childs reach. What if he ate it. Or saw mommy smoking it before and decided to try it. I know I did that when I was little. Grandpa used to always smoke cigars. They smelt good too, so once me and my brother sat in his office, and pretended to be grandpa, I sat behind his big desk and he on the chair accross. We took one of his fat cigars, cut the head like he used to and then tried smoking it. OFcourse after one puff we were coughing our heads off but we still did it. and this kid could've too.

Wow thats amazing! Whyw ould a person even have kids if they were going to be raised in a drug house! They should've just given them up for adoption from the day they were born because either way theyre going to lose thier kids. And even if theyre going to be irresponsible enough to have drugs how can you keep it aorund your kids? And in places so easily accesible for the kids. Its so dangerous I really dont know how these people can be so careless!
