When I was a kid my mom took up the habit of smoking and it drove me crazy. I would cry and scream and try my hardest to get her to quit but she wouldn’t. I told her I’d get straight A’s if she quits. We made the deal and shook on it. The end of the semester came and I had all A’s and one B. The B was only because the girl next to me cheated off my paper and my teacher gave us both F’s. I cried to my teacher and told her about my problem with my mom and it wasn’t my fault the girl cheated I had nothing to do with it. She wouldn’t hear any of it, and I came home without my straight A’s. For years I couldn’t help but feel that it was all this teachers’ fault why my mother didn’t quit. Luckily about 2 years later my mother finally saw how much her cigarette smoking bothered me and quit. But I don’t know till this day I still can’t help but blame that teacher. I still don’t like her.

Some teachers are just so mean!  I had a teacher that would yell at me because I had transferred from another school and I hadn't learned the same things all the other kids already knew.  I also had another teacher that was so irritable and one time she tripped in front of the whole class and threw a kids backpack all the way across the room.  Some people should never choose teaching as a profession.
I'm sorry you went through so much as a child with your mother's smoking.  But just keep reminding yourself that she quit for you and that's all that matters.

Some teachers are really really mean. I had one who was a total racist and was so mean to just specifically me and a black girl. She made me sit in the back of the class for almost the whole year because I once told her I didn't understand how to do an assignment while all the other students did. This was in 4rth grade and what she did was say I shouldn't be surrounded by people in class and I should sit in the back, then she assigned me the same assignment but in a 2nd grade book. It was totally humiliating for me. And she made the black girl sit in the back with me because she was singing backstreet boys while doing a lesson. Everyone was talking and she was singing low, it was unfair for her also. Me and her developed a friendship as we sat in the back of the class together. But I still cant stand that teacher, I take my sister to the same school everyday and I have to see her face. She scarred me in so many ways where I wasn't able to give my full effort at school for 6 years.

I was never singled out by a teacher at school but I saw a lot of students who were always the negative focus of the class.  One boy had troubled parents and he ended up being a trouble maker, but he was actually really smart, one of the smartest kids in school.  But my teacher still gave him a hard time and wouldn't spend extra time with him.  A lot of teachers have absolutely ruined kids, it's a shame.  And these troubled kids end up getting in more trouble as they get older and then other kids make fun of them too.

I really hate when teachers do this. They shouldn't choose this profession if they're going to single out on kid that they dont like. I know this one little girl that is really the most annoying thing you'll ever meet, she's twice as tall as the otehr kids, has the loudest voice and just does things that annoys everyone, even her personal hygeine is bad, so you can only imagine how much anyone would like her right? well anyways I took my sister to school and she was in her class, the teacher you could tell didn't like her either but she treated her EXACTLY the same as the other kids. She even hugged her just like she would the other kids. I think thats how all teachers should be. You shouldn't treat a child differently for any reason.

Teachers dont realize how much they affect the students lives by treating them bad. They're not adults that are mature enough to handle the situation and get through it. They take it as if its their fault and ti could cause them to do bad in school for years and years to come. I had a teacher who did this to me once, she straight up told me that I will never succeed in life. I cant wait for the day that I can get my doctors degree and rub it in her face! I took what she said to me to heart and for abour 4 years after I didn't even try in school after she told me that I felt like there was no reason to even try. but then i realised shes just a very bad word and i'm going to prove her wrong and show her.
