Smoking Anxiety

Has anyone experienced anxiety from quitting smoking?  I used to smoke constantly and I just recently quit but I feel the anxiety from quitting.  I'll get a nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach like the only thing in the whole wide world that can help me is a cigarette...  I hate it.  Or when I get stressed, I have to sit down with a warm cloth on the back of my neck to help me breath right.  Is this nicotine withdrawals, or am I just an anxious person??

Nicotine withdrawals or cravings should really only last 3-5 minuts, maybe 10 for some people.  You may be an anxious person and if so, you can get some anti-anxiety medication.  I haven't heard much hype about those types of pills.  Were you smoking for very many years?

I get those types of feelings and I'm not addicted to anything. my heart will all of a sudden beat fast for a few seconds and then go back to normal and I get that pit in my stomach as you described, but I've realised all this happens to me when i dont get as much sleep as I'm supposed to. My body usually needs 10 hours of sleep and if I sleep 8 or 9 hours a few days in a row I'll get those feelings jsut because my mind is tired.
