What are your thoughts on your addiction? I mean do you acknowledge you have a problem or is someone forcing you to get help? I personally came to reality on my own but my family is pushing me as well. I have a serious internet addiction. Even if I'm not onlin I need the computer on at all times so that I can be online if I want to. Anyway I admit I do need help. What about you?
RE: What do you think?
I'm here for my brother and he's admitted to his marijuana addiction.  He's had it for years and was in extreme denial about it.  But we never gave up on him because we know how great of a person he is without weed.  He just had to realize that he doesn't need this, it's only stunting his full potential, and it's hurting us too, not only him.  I remember being so glad when he told me that he quit, even though I've heard it over a hundred time, I still believe him and want to support him just as much.

I'm here for my sister. She has been in and out of rehab for her alcohol addiction. She wants to quit and she hates drinking but her body needs it and it's like the only thing that can cheer her up when she's down. She is a very moody person so she has her down moments quite a lot too. I'm having her live with me right now so I can help keep her from the bottle. But I'm so relieved that she is letting me help because she is also a very independent person and always wants to do things on her own. This is something she can't though.

Overcoming addiction has a weird way of teaching you a lot about yourself.  I'm 20 years old and still feel like I have so much more progress to make, but I feel more ready than ever.  I started going to church because I want to meet more sober people and it's brought my family a lot closer.

Even staying in recovery is hard. The whole process is a life long thing. And it is alays going to be tough, but the way I see it is that it is always worth it in the end!
