How often do you take time out just to read?

How often do you take time out just to read?

I know that reading is something we all do constantly; if you are seeing this post you're obviously "reading," but what I mean is reading a book or magazine just for the sheer joy of it, not because you have to do so for work or school.

I am a constant reader and often balance reading two or three novels at a time, a non-fiction book, and magazines and daily newspapers, alternating between books so I don't get bored with one.   So basically, I read for relaxation/self-enlightenment at least two hours a day, even on a busy work day.

Anyone else?

I used to read all the time then I went through a stage of not reading at all, the last week I have been taking an hour out to read in the morning and it is helping me with my schedule, it is so relaxing and now the summer is coming I am enjoying sitting in the sun with a book.

Reading is very healthy for us :)  It's nice to just relax our minds and lose ourselves in a good book.  My favorite book of all time is 'A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.'

I read for about an hour a day, at least I try to.  I like reading all different kinds of books, I can't stick to one genre.  And ya you're right, reading improved our thinking and memory :P
