You know how it takes guys a few more shots than girls to get them drunk that it leads them to become alcoholics more than it does girls? Or is it all the same and it's just the persons decisions and addictive personalities?

I think guys and girls have the same likelihood of becoming alcoholics.. I know quite a few girls that are literally addicted to alcohol.  But guys will always drink more and girls will prob. drink just as often.

Most the time guys have bigger bodies than women, and that's why it takes them a few more shots to get drunk. I don't think gender has anything to do with becoming addicted though.

I think since they're bigger their bodies can hande more alcohol than a girls does, but it just depends on the person, and how addictive they are. I have guy friends who drink literally every night. They have names for every night too, like thirsty thursday, crazy friday, party sunday, things like that. But when it comes time for finals weeks they dont drink a single sip and all their focus goes into studying. They drink for fun and they drink often, but drinking doesn't control them. I dont think theyre addicted, but I guess thats just their personality. But girls could drink less than guys and still become addicted, I dont think it matters on the intake.

I've never been addicted to alcohol, but my brother has the addictive side of the family.  He hardly drank in high school, but once he got out of high school, he had to go through some really hard things and he became an alcoholic in no time!

I think guys can be more dangerous alcoholics than girls. Girls can be alcoholics but will still probably drink less than an alcoholic boy.

I don't know if the quantity is that big of a factor. I think that when someone has the addicted "genes" it's more like the time you dedicate towards the substance. For example, smoking. I think that even if you had just a couple a day, but did it for a month, you would become addicted making your body need more and more each day.

I think since guys drink much more alcohol than girls it could be damaging their liver more than it would a girls. But everyone's body is different and could be dealing with it in different ways.
