Sleep Paralysis

On top of having dreams about black cats, I am now going through what I am told is sleep paralysis. It's like I am trying to wake up but I can't move anything on my body and it feels like I am not breathing either. Some people have said it has something to do with spirits holding you down, but I don't know that I buy that. Has anyone experienced this ?

Not to worry, from what I have heard, sleep paralysis is not in any way harmful. Yes, it can be scary but it will not hurt you in any way. There is a great article on Wikipedia about it. My brother used to suffer from this lots. It was frightening for a while, until he did some research.
