How Much do you spend on clothing?

How Much do you spend on clothing?

Just wondering how much everyone spends on clothing weekly, monthly, etc? Also when would one think that shopping for clothes becomes a problem? I know I probably spend too much because I do buy things I don't really need, but I am not quite sure if I am at the addiction stage.

I feel the same way! I usually spend at least 100 on clothes a month. Sometimes more or sometimes less, it just depends. I only feel the urge when I'm out and I don't have the strength to say no! If I'm at home though, I  never feel the need to buy things online. My spending is becoming a problem though and my credit card bills are getting higher and higher. I used to only buy expensive clothes, but now I'll shop at Target and stuff so at least I'm getting better in that aspect, but overall I need to spend less!!

Target clothes can add up though.  Lately I just won't go anywhere because in reality I'm just not strong enough to say no.  My thing is shoes, I have rows and rows of sneakers in my closet.  But my girlfriend is the worst, if she runs out of money, she'll have me take her to the mall and make me buy her clothes.  She pays me back eventually but I can't say no and I know it's not good for her finances.

Hardly anything, the most expensive shirt I own cost me $15 dollars, and I got it on clearence. I never squander huge sums on clothes, it's just a waste of money better spent on dirty maga- I mean, food and electricity.

I vary my spending with clothes, it all depends. Lately I've spent more on the trendier line of clothes, but thats my decision. I would say anywhere between $100 - $300 a month, but it also depends on whether i'm buying sports-type clothes (which can be pricey) or regular clothes.

I vary because sometimes I'll go shopping a lot and others I wont shop for a few months. But usually I'd say around $400 a month. But the thing with me is I wont buy cheap stuff, so I'll just buy expensive things and not have a lot. So then I just buy mroe and more expensive things. But when I try buying cheap things I just dont wear them.

I used to spend a lot of money on clothes until I got married and started having a family. I was spending way too much on myself and had to budget for things like diapers and baby food. At my peek I was probably spending $400 a month, which now that I look back feel stupid for doing. I should have been saving..oh well.

This reminds me of my daughter. When she started noticing what people were wearing and what brands she had to have name brand everything, which is very expensive for the parents! I started making her work around the house for money so she could buy her own things. My plan worked and after a while she noticed how long it took her to be able to afford just a t-shirt at Abercrombie and then started going to bargain stores with me where you can still find cute clothes and they are way cheaper.

My parents did this to me when I was little and also to my little brother now. When ever I come home for dinner he's always cleaning up and doing chores so he can get paid for things. But my parents dont really go through with it. They would give us the money for how much we worked but then they would still purchase all the name brands we want. Which is probably why I'm so materialistic now. I feel like I have to be wearing a name brand at all times.
