Once I quit identifying with my self-centered adolesence and started identifying with being a "Dad", I never looked back or had a relapse. Just wanted to give my sons a good role model. Sometimes my spiritual awakening is that it not all about me.
Thanks for listening, for the opportunity to be of service, and for sharing the journey. Until again, Lynn Seiser Ph.D. MFT Seiser Institute of IdentityTherapy Marietta, GA USA

That's so great to hear.  My mom finally decided to stop worrying about herself so much and it's made her such a happier person.  We get along like best friends and I can actually talk with her and share my experiences, it's the best thing!

Conqering an addiction is really the worlds greatest accomplishment. I think it needs to be recognized more.

I think kids are a real miracle. Many addicts have changed their whole lives around just to make sure they give their kids a good life. And I think that is really amazing.
