It's amazing to me how lonely you can feel even when you are around other people. Lonliness I believe is probably the most dangerous feeling when it comes to possible/probale relapse. It's also the most horrible feeling inthe world. To be surrounded by people who love or supposedly love you, in your own house, is a horrible feeling. Anyone else feel this loneliness?

I think everyone can feel a little lonely once in a while. Try to cheer up and look at the bright side of things, some people are truly lonely in the world without any family or friends, tell the people in your life that you love them because they love you just as much!

I know exactly what you are talking about. I do not share a close emotional bond with my family. I love them dearly, but they don't know the real me and don't seem to care to get to know me better. I had to face facts that things weren't changing and work to build up friendships outside the home. Now I have friends I can phone or email at any time. Other things that helped me were getting a couple of cats for companionship, journaling about my feelings, and focusing more on myself and what I want to do. These days I am too busy to be lonely.

Loneliness comes from deep within, when you are feeling alienated from the world. When you are depressed about how life is going for you and how you may not have the things that you had as dreams. When you finally realize your life if not what you intended it to be.

How would you describe a drug addiction to prescriptions?
I have a prescription for Loratab due to intense shoulder pains.
How can I tell if I have gone too far into usage where as they become an addiction?

Lonliness is similar to depression, it's easy to feel depressed when you have every reason to be happy. I always thought it was something I would grow out of, I was always trying to run away from it and I felt so incredibly vulnerable. But I am different now, I pray a lot and I call people when no one is home. My loneliness has improved, but I let things get to me, even other's pain and I feel it as my own.

I can be around all my friends and family who I know love me to death but still feel lonely. But Even if I'm not arounf my boyfriend or haven't seen him for a few days I dont feel lonely because i just have the feeling that I know I have him. And as long as I do I'm not lonely.
