One way to celebrate small or large successes in recovery is to develop a sense of gratitude. regardles of your circumstances there is always something to be grateful for. Try finding at least one or two things each day to be grateful for and see if this doesn't help your recovery. When it does, as I'm sure it will, take the time to celebrate your successess as well as be grateful for them. Maybe, just for today you didn't drink. Maybe, just for today, you drank but not infront of your kids, etc. By expressing gratitude and celebrating small and large successess, you are helping your recovery to continue and eventually progress.

I agree with you on this one, showing gratitude is a very good way of showing your success in any program. Especially while in recovery from any addictions. You have to be grateful for being alive and being able to keep living each day.

It's important to show your gratitude and be thankful for your sobriety.  It also shows others that drug rehab really does work.

I totally agree with this, gratitude even for the smallest things, developes a sense of positiveness. Being positive attracts more positiveness and that leads to success.

My grandma once told me that every morning when I wake up before I even get out of bed I should thank god for things I'm greatful for. She said even if not everything comes to mind thank him for something because theres always  something in your life that you should be grateful for. Its weird she told me this 5 years ago and I've felt happier everyday I've done it.

I like this, this could remind you on your worst days that you dont have the worst life in the world. Even though thats what it may feel like.

We are all blessed with so many things but sometimes we dont take the time to sit and be grateful for what we have or be positive and think about all the things we should be grateful for and thats not good. Thinking of all the things were blessed with makes us happier, positive and overall better.
