About how long does it take to get over a mild addiction of any type? What kind of work is needed to do so and how would you go about doing this?

From experience I can tell you that it all depends on what you were addicted to and what you mean by mild addiction. Also, it is different for different people. I suggest you see your doctor, he can give you more information and answers than I can.

Yes, I agree, each person recovers differently to the next. It depends on so many things,

What type of addiction it is
The background behind the addiction
The support network you have in place
The genuine desire to be free of your addiction.

I feel that the best results often come when people are under observation if its a severe addiction.

I think there is a very complex answer to this question, it depends basically on the type of the addiction , I think recovering from drug addictions are the hardest and take the most time , but other recoveries take time too , recovering completely from smoking addiction can even take 7 years for some people.
