I'm new to the internet and starting to like it. I think i might be going addicted to it, im spending more time online chatting with my boyfriend and trying to meet new friends in other countries.

Spending more time on it does not mean you are becoming an addict, if you are doing what you already used to do, it is okay, and I see you are knowing culture and all with that, as long as it does not affect your real life, you're fine :D

I beleive in that if you are onlly using internet for a good cause then it is not considered addicion but merely a good tool to communicate with someone important to you.

Good cause or bad, an addiction is a psychological dependence on a certain object, physical or otherwise. If you experience withdrawal, then yes, you're additcted.

I think people get addicted to the internet just because the world is so boring these days.

Yeah I have to agree with you Quenlin lol, even now as I sit here and think I should get off the internet, I am also thinking and do what! here it can be pretty boring if the weather is bad etc and so I definately think its also boredom that plays a big contributor.

Yeah if you start getting withdrawal syptoms and it messes with your everyday life, then I would start to be concerned. But the internet is a great way to communicate with people, it can be addictive of course and yeah I also agree that life seems boring at the moment and so I come online, gone are the days of partying!

I think if you are new to internet than thats a normal process and you should not be worried about it much as long as you are using it as tool to interact with your friends and communicating with people around the world. People you start using internet they tend to use it more and more and times come when they get fed up with it.
