There are more and more people that are starting to do work online. Would you consider them to be addicted since they like the internet so much that they get a job on it?

In my opinion i consider it as an addiction, i think it is very easy to get addicted to working on the Internet because you can make a lot of money on the Internet very easily if you know a lot about it, but yes i consider it as an addiction.

I do not consider it as an addiction to the internet but if it is work related and you are staying on working for more than a standard work day then you might be addicted to working. Making money on the internet is not as easy as many people think and you have to have a knack for what you are doing in order to really make money.
I am not saying that some people have not become addicted to working or making money but in general I do not think that working on the internet is an addiction because it is really no different that working for someone else, other than the fact that you are making the money for yourself and not for someone else.

There are people who earns money online by spending only 4-10 hours a week, i think if you knw your priorities and goal then it is not addiction although it is easy to get addicted because of the vast ways you could earn online.

So I guess some of you would consider high level computer programmers and site designers to be addicted? How does that make sense?

It's not easy to get a job these days, so people combine the internet as a hobby, with their needs, to make money, there are people making serious money out there, so, why not to try it? :P

I been making websites since I was 12. In the end it turned into a profit. Anybody here really going to say I am addicted to the internet because I found a fun hobby to make money online?

no :P
it's nice to see a hobby turning into a money making thing, at the time you are having fun, because it is a hobby, you are making money, which is pretty good, isnt it? :}

It is really nice. I mean I have been working online for years now. At first it was nonprofit but once I found I could make money i decided to. There is nothing wrong with making money from your hobby.

Different people have different reasons for using the internet to earn a living. For some ,it's a natural choice when they are webmasters and have to constantly lookout for good content on their site and the advertisers their site attracts.Then there are people who are good at promoting something , but can't see themselves as a professional salesman. They work as affiliates for online companies which employ their expertise even though they don't have to contact customers on a personal basis. There are other people who have either retired or looking for supplement income who turn to internet for those extra bucks. I don't think anyone who chooses to work on internet is addicted to internet.

People that spend many hours on the internet for work pourposes can't be considered addcited, espcially if they do it for a living. They don't stand there because they just love the internet but they stay for the money, or to learn something or whatsoever. I myself spend some good hours on the in internet just to earn some extra money, I admit I like it but |I would leave it anytime for a real job that would pay me more than I earn for the moment on the internet.
