How long would one have to spend on the internet each day in order for you to consider it an addiction. I know that for me if you have to be on everyday for hours on end you are addicted.

I am on the Internet every day for hours at a time, but I don't consider myself addicted. I get up, eat, go out do things that need to be done, and actually most of what I do on the net is work related.

I am, with no doubt, an internet / PC addict. When i wake up, i eat some breakfast, then off i go to the net for some hours, then lunch comes, i eat, back to the internet afterwards, then dinner, and back. Then comes sleep. Bath time comes somewhere between breakfast and lunch. Things i do on the internet varies from time to time though.

I spend long hours on the internet. But I still don't consider myself as an addict. In fact, I'd go as far away from my computer if I can, but with the amount of work that I need to get done, I can't possibly seem to do that. So it's not really how much you spend your time in front of the computer. It's the state of mind you have when you can't be in front of the computer.

I think in a way I am addicted, but in another way, I'm not.



There are some very important e-mails and messages that I am waiting
for everyday. Now most people could easily check these once a day, and
be totally fine, but it almost seems as if I am obsessed with it. I
usually check my e-mail on average about every 20 minutes whenever I am
home, which upsets my wife alot.



On the other hand if I were not waiting for anything, I would have no problem leaving the internet alone everyday.

I believe I was addicted to the computer for a while. Now I work on the computer and that's about it. I have found that I still stay on much longer than I first anticipated that I would be, especially when I'm trying to fix something. I used to be on here for most of each day and evening. Now I'm lucky to be online for a couple of hours each day.

I can say that I actually stay on the net for at least 12 hours a day. But I work alot so with that said its not like im on here and not making money most of the time. It seems like im on there alot but in reality its all work and little play.

I think I am on my way to being addicted to the internet. I do use it a lot, but I mainly use it to keep in contact with old school-friends, and those who are at a different university to me.

I think it is difficult to judge whether you are addicted to the internet. So many things in life revolve around it and it make our time more manageable. You can do things like talk to people across the world etc. So your bound to spend time on the net. The addiction comes when you neglect your every day been like your socialising, hygiene friends excetra.

Yes, so much relies on the internet that it's hard not to spend even a little time on it each day. Research for school and college, or even your job; banking; emails; talking to friends...we do so much on the internet in our everyday lives, so it is difficult to judge if you are addicted or not.

A couple of months back I read an article about Chinese government setting up in-patient medical clinics for treating patients suffering from internet addiction. There were several symptoms of an internet addict mentioned in the article.Personally,I wouldn't like to be treated as an internet addict though I admit that I spend a lot of time on net everyday.It's quite scary for the netizens if this is labelled as a disorder that needs special clinics to be treated.That said,I would consider someone spending beyond 8-9 hours per day on internet without working on the net as an internet addict .However, the time spent on net that could classify one as an internet addict is a moot topic and will differ for each individual depending on the what he or she does on net.

Well you can called me internet addicted person because I spent more than 6 hours per day on the internet and doing some freelancing jobs. Also playing some online games too. But now I also spent more time on my websites. I am sure more than 6 hours is too long on internet because it tooks 1/4 time of the day.

I have to be online everyday do to my business but I do find it to be a sort of addiciton when I can't pull myself away from my work. I put in long hours almost everyday though I do try to find some time for myself when I can. I workout everyday so that pulls me away for an hour or 2.
