I believe the internet can be more addictive, but don't forget about
the phone though to. Many people spend hours everyday on the phone
tying up their lines, so that nobodyelse can get through to them or are
forced to leave important voice mail messages, which many times are
answered to late.

I dont think the phone is as addicting as it was due to text messaging. I besides instant messaging is free,easy and fun.

I know some of my friends who use the phone for messaging when they could easily shout out the message to the guy across the room.Most of them send more than 50-60 messages by the end of the day,everyday.I didn't think of it as an addiction ;I would have considered it just something that they enjoy , but when overdone it could get addictive.

Bloemmarc, seriously, your dumb. Addicted to the phone? NOT POSSIBLE!!! However, a person can be emotionally attached to their friends and work to the degree that they perfer to be on the phone then interact with those around them.

If you have kids or a wife or girlfriend who is on the phone all day and night, perhaps the problem is you. Perhaps they are avioding having to deal with your retarded ass.

Well I always use online message sending service to avoid mobile text messages which take some times and also money. But in India,many people still access internet from Dail-up connection and their phone bussy for 1 hours to 3 hours. It is very addictive one.

I used to text my significant other when I was not at home, but now I use it very seldom.
