I know of some experiences of people on zyban (Buproprion). Zyban works at the neurological level, reducing the craving for nicotine in any form. However if in the past you have had any sorts of depression or anxiety in tends to recreate it again through chemical inbalance in the brain. Apparently it has been reported as people having suicidal tendencies.

Zyban has also caused people to experience strokes and other heart related issues.

Try cold turkey. It is the method that has the highest success rate.

A very stable friend of mine tried Zyban and yes they stopped smoking, but had terrible side effects, tremors, palpitations, panic attacks, agressive tendancies. bad stomach, etc etc - they had to stop taking it and started smoking again. I would never take it
