If the origin of a sex addict's addiction began when he was 4 yrs. old, and through older neighborhood girls' exploration of him (including intercourse), does that mean the prognosis of full recovery is poor, even with treatment)?
Over 80% of sex addicts are sexual abuse survivors. Trauma affects everyone differently. He can get and stay sober if he wants to and is willing to do the work. Most of my clients like myself are sexual abuse survivors and most get better.
