If he is in jail then you would have to speak to a lawyer, to see what his options are. Call the chaplain in the prison to see what materials he has available to help him. The chaplain is the best one to tell you what resources are available in jail. Unfortunately until his time is served, there is not much you can do other than mail him materials for him to work on while in jail.
