Questions About Partnership

Dr. Doug Weiss - 11/6/2007

I became sexually active 2 years ago. I'm 22 years and i expect start with the right person I have around 1 year and 6 months of marriage but I don't feel satisfied. My husband had 4 partners before me. Maybe that's why he is not active and don't feel interesting in sex like and thanks for your help.

He is way too young to not desire sex. Ask him about pornography, masturbation or if he is seeing someone else. Also see if he fits the category for sexual anorexia. If he does get the DVD on Sexual Anorexia, see if he will start recovery. If not, see a counselor quickly. The characteristics of sexual anorexia are:

  1. Withholding love from partner.
  2. Withholding praise or appreciation from partner.
  3. Controlling by silence or anger.
  4. Ongoing or ungrounded criticism causing isolation.
  5. Withholding sex from your partner.
  6. Unwillingness or inability to discuss feelings with partner.
  7. Staying so busy that they have no relational time for the partner.
  8. Making the problems or issues about your partner instead of owning their own issues.
  9. Controlling or shaming partner with money issues.
