My husband is addicted to online poker. He doesn't play with much money, and he often plays on free sites, so he claims he doesn't have a problem - it's just a hobby. My problem with it is that he spends ALL of his free time gambling. He even brings his laptop to the dinner table and begins playing as soon as he gets home until the time he goes to bed. He is no longer spending any quality time with our daughter, not to mention me, and I end up shouldering all of the work at home. Is there a way I can show him he has a problem? - Meredith
Meredith,
I recommend that you seek out Gamanon as the members may have suggestions relative to similar situations that they have faced. Are making excuses for him because he can not complete his work or social obligations because of the time he spends on the computer gambling? If so, stoping this behavior may begin to get his attention.
